Uniquely, Bayville was developed as a summer colony by Thomas Boyd, a native of Boothbay, distinguishing it from other colonies typically established by outsiders. Today, Bayville remains a serene retreat, offering residents and visitors picturesque views of Linekin Bay and a tranquil atmosphere.
